Battle on planet Selas over...... Planet is no more

Planet Selas has been a strong hold of several rebel militias since the Galactic civil war began. The many fuel and for the majority of the war over this planet t material deposits that rittle the large planet has made it an invaluable resource to the rebel and imperial forces that have been fighting over it. While the rebel force had been able to control the war on the planet for years, but around six months ago the empire started relocating some of their forces from around the galaxy to join the fight on Selas after taking note on the supplies the Rebel forces were shipping of the resource heavy planet to other insurgent bands around the galaxy. Almost immeidiatly the imperial army began gaining ground and as expected from the losing rebel forces stories began surfacing about atrocities that were being commited to their people including lies about poisoning food and water supplies, and dismembering fallen rebel soldiers bodies and having them up for display around the planet. No evidence was ever found to support the rebels horror stories (and it is of this reporters opinion that it was only rebel propoganda). But the bloodshed ended yesterday when reportedly the rebel forces detonated several large scale explosive devices in the planets fuel deposits setting off a domino effect around the planet that eventually consumed it in one firey ball until it finally exploded and like a large thermal detonater it destroyed several surrounding planets. No reports as of yet any survivors. We do ask a moment of silence at noon for all the fallen Imperial personel that perished amidst the explosion.
