Awerps yellow lightsaber colors the face of Jabba in the dark room.
"Of coarse i understand that your ego and over-confidence in your combat abilities wont allow you to stand down.." Jabba says with a dull drone. "...... after all boys will be boys"
Jabba steps towards Awerp menecingly and Awerp quickly brings his lightsaber across his front. Jabba uses his left arm to grabs Awerps hand and then twists it into an arm lock in one quick motion, then using the pressure of the arm lock painfully bends Awerp back to the point of facing the ceiling and stabs the large vibroblade through awerps locked arm and into the ground behind him effectivly pinning Awerp in the painful position.
"I wouldent struggle as that sword is extremely sharp" Jabba says as he steps back from the fixated Awerp.
El' Tai looks at Caere quietly as if waiting for her to respond. "...Where is he?" Jabba says aloud to the two, while Malice remains out of sight waiting for his program to hack the code of the energy generator and put an end to this place.
MEanwhile.....
As The rest of the group meets at the elevator in preperation to leave this place they have no idea what last obsticle awaits them on the main floor... |

| Caere watches as Awerp is pinned to the ground, all the while never letting down her guard. She glares at El'Tai and Jabba, then makes one quick sweep of her ignited saber, the red blade slicing across El"Tai's arm. She freezes and holds the blade against his chest, not saying a word. |

Arithon is silent as they meet at the elevator, his mood dark and brooding as he switches off his saber, although he continues to hold it. He walks to the back of the elevator and leans a little against the wall, allowing himself a very small respite.
Daina looks over at him. Under normal circumstances, he could have allowed himself the luxury of a healing trance in order to restore his eyes. Now she wonders if it is too late. A lump forms in her throat as she replays that scene, as Awerp deflects the energy bolt meant for Veth...into Arithon's eyes and face.
His face could be restored thru normal means(although she knew he would have a fit about going back into bacta so soon)..but his eyes, would they ever be restored to him? Could he use the Force to see, or was he using the Force to enhance the senses left to him?
She'd always thought the Force to be a reminant of a long dead religion centering on mitchoridians...never mind she had seen Arithon (and Awerp, and others) do what should be impossible...and in the past few hours, her beliefs, her values, everything she had ever known has been turned upside down, from the moment that man had collapsed in the cantina....
Or maybe it had started when she had been forced to abandon Arithon three years ago...
Or perhaps, it had started before that....
She sighed...wondering if things could ever be the same after this day.
(Edited 4/16..you can't clip a saber to a belt you don't have, Arithon..)

Kir leans forward. selecting a lower floor. She glances around the group as the elevator descends. "I'm assuming we're finally ready to go?"

Ikewe leans back and closes her eyes for a moment. Opening them she looks at the group, almost wanting to demand to know who had released Veth rather than leave him to soak in oblivion. Her lekku twitched slightly, "too late now."
Sienn:
Sienn retreated to the protective covering of the tent, leaving her droid to monitor the distant mountain. The suns were getting far too intense to continue her watch. She took a long drink of water, splashing some on a cloth to cool her face before stretching out. "What could be keeping them?" she grumbled. |

Daina nods in response to Kir...as she quietly disengages her wrist from Xqsme's grasp..."I don't know what's worse...knowing that someone could start this all over again, or that that sithspit is still running around in this building somewhere..." she mutters after a moment...
"You mean Veth?" Arithon asks, as he appears to stare at the floor...

El tai glances at the cut on his arm and then back at caere. Before she is even aware its happening she is flung through the air. Suddenly a loud beeping noise comes from behind a terminal near the reactor.
" bingo!" says malices loud voice as he quickly grabs his decryption device and stands with blaster ready
Jabba dodges quickly as blaster shots riddle the ground where he was standing. Malice jumps down with the sword he found earlier readied. Jabba smiles and motions for malice to come and attack him. As malice begins to charge he stops when suddenly a large metal cylinder slams into jabba and crashes into the wall with a large crash. El tai looks puzzled for a moment at malice. The darkness in the elevator corridor is suddenly illuminated with a red hue that shines on the face of the person resonsible.
"veth....at last" eltai says as he faces the sith.
Meanwhile.....
As the groups elevator heads towards the ground level an automated voice rings over the intercom.
"reactor core level unstabel. Possibility of meltdown. All employees are advised to exit facility and general area within 1 hour." |

Arithon nods on hearing Buzzz. "I hope so as well, old friend...That's one of the things I can't protect you all from, and it's past time for us to leave this party.." He puts a protective arm about Daina's shoulders without thinking..."before anyone else gets hurt.."
Daina does her best to ignore the brotherly gesture...caught between Arithon and Xqsme...crossing her arms in an attempt to look nonchalant..."We have an hour..maybe if Ari uses his lightsaber to cut thru, we can be out in fifteen minutes.." she says casually... |

Veth says nothing as he looks at el'tai with a focused face.
Jabba emerges from the wreckage and dusts off his shoulders before slowly walking towards Veth.
"... such an odd place to find you" Jabba says "obviously the force has brought us all here for a reason... i mean you dont go a hundred years give or take without seeing someone and then find them in the middle of the desert on a backwater planet out of coincidence"
"for someone of your kind youve always had this optimistic view of the force, Jerusalem" Veth says addressing the being that had formally introduced himself to the heros as Jabba.
"Were not against the force Veth, only those that use it" Jerusalem retorts softly before igniting his own lightsaber's blue blade.
Awerp watches as Jerusalem leaps through the air a great distance and meets Veths blade with his own as the two begin to duel. The swings come in fast short strokes, Awerp had never seen Veth's speed in saber combat matched but it seemed as if Jerusalem was not only keeping up but perhaps even had Veth on defense. As el'tai started towards the duel Awerp knew he had to intercept him. Using all his strength Awerp uses his torso to pull the sword that was through him out of the ground, the pain is immense and he screams out like a wild animal as he slowly pulls upwards until finally the blade is out. with no pause he throws the blade at el'tais back but as before it can find its mark El'tai turns and cuts it in half with his light spear. Caere also gets up to help as she sees Awerp and El'tai begin to square off.
Meanwhile.....
As the doors in the elevator finally open up the hero's start out of the ellevator swiftly but before they gget 5 feet out Arithon stops dead in his tracks as he already feels the guns pointed at them.
"Now!" a scream is heard from the back of the large open floor they are on.
Cloaking devices are disengaged and instantly the group sees what obstical lays between them and their escape from this nightmare. The lobby in front of them is filled with dozens of battle droids, and droidekas, a juggerdroid also waits for a command in the back. at least 50 blasters are pointed at them as Maximus and his crew ignite their lightsabers.
"Noone leaves here!" He orders
instantly a net that was intended for the group insted drops over Daina and Buzzz. The battle commences as the droids take cover and begin firing |

Kir makes a diving roll to the side, bracing herself in a crouch she begins returning fire, trying to keep her fire focused on a single target at a time.
Ikewe:
Ikewe pulls her blaster, shooting awkwardly as she retrieves a comm link. Activating it, she speaks quickly as her eyes scan the hallway ahead. |

Arithon ignites his saber in response, using it to deflect bolts back towards the droids, Maximus, or his minions, anywhere but his friends. He can't see, but it doesn't stop him from seeing thru the Force where each and every person is...
Daina reaches for a knife she doesn't have, then swears as she struggles in the net... |

Buzzz turns to Daina and says "Try some of your new found abilities and get us out of here" as he draws his gun and fires at the nearest droid.

"Excuse me?" Daina shoots back at Buzzz, "What do I look like, Luke Skywalker?"
Arithon neatly slices off the hand of a light saber wielding minion. The minon screams, there is no blood, as the slice from the saber cauterizes the wound as soon as it happens..
The hand hits the floor, and a lighted saber lands a foot away from the netted couple. Daina glares at Buzzz for a moment, then closes her eyes as she's seen Arithon do countless times. "If I pull this off," she asks Buzzz, "can I be *your* padawan?". She opens her hand, and tries to envision the saber coming to her, putting her need behind her will, knowing that if she can't, then they are finished.

El'tai stands between Awerp and Caere who prepare to move in for a fight. El'tai reaches down on his belt he retreives the metal rod he had been carrying the whole time, with a flick of the wrist the rod extends on each side to the size of a spear but instead of steel blade a 2 foot long blue laser blade erupts from the top.
Awerp and Caere gaze at the odd weapon which seems like something from the old republic, but before they can contemplate the odd weapon El'tai uses the blunt end to slam into Awerps face and then quickly takes a swipe at Caere with the buisness end of the weapon. Caere barely defelcts the atttack with her own saber and before she is aware of whats going on finds herself thrusting and parrying El'tais attacks with some unknown strength. As El'tai mounts an effective offense Awerp interrupts with several strong brutal swings that coordinate with Caeres attacks, keeping the spear weilder from being able to fully focus on attacking either. Even though the two had never fought together before Awerp and Caere were fighting as a team with impeccable timing and grace against an opponent whos skills out weigh either in a one on one battle, a tactic which is perhaps there only channce at victory.
Veth And Jerusalem engage each other with the skills befitting two masters of lightsaber combat. As Jerusalem blocks and does a cross swing at Veths torso the sith leaps just above the saber and kicks its weilder in the face sending Jerusalem on his back. while in the air still Veth kicks off a nearby wall and uses the push to fling himself at Jerusalem with a downward stab. Jerusalm rolls his head to the side in the nick of time and flips himself into a standing position.
"you dident think you were gonna end it that easily did you?" Jerusalem says looking at the hole in thr ground that could have been his face.
Meanwhile upstairs...
As the blasts fly through the air riddiling the walls around each party Maximus and his group move in on Arithon. Although they have trained hard their skills cannot match that of a true jedi. suddenly through the middle of the small droid Army a juggerdroid emerges, running full steam in Kirs direction. |

Daina closes her eyes as she concentrates, hard, as she feels her way thru the force...
Then she feels a cylindrical object hit her hand hard, making it smart. She opens her eyes, as her fingers touch the button on the saber, and slashes upwards once, freeing herself and Buzzz.
Springing to her feet, her mind takes a snapshot of the action, looking about. Seeing the juggerdroid head towards Kir, she springs after it, as a wrix would spring after prey.
She doesn't even think about the fact that she's holding a lightsaber, instead of the more traditional swords she's trained with all her life.
In the meantime, Arithon prepares for his own battle, as he realizes he is outnumbered, smiling grimly. If this is the day he falls, he knows he will take as many of them with him.... |

Suddenly one of Maximus' minions slides in front of Arithon, he goes to strike until he notices that the minion's back is to him. The minion drops his 'lightsaber', when it hits the ground it bursts into colorful confetti and miniature fireworks. The minion threw back his cloak to show an Imperial trooper with mixed scout trooper/ubese armor.
"Ta-dah~" he chuckled through his Scout Helmet. Maximus and his minions looked puzzled as a Straton Death-Hammer Pistol slid out of the man's right Ubese Coat sleeve and into his hand. He quickly executed a fan shot, downing several of the confused minions. With the clearing now in sight the man grabbed Arithon and pulled him into cover from the ongoing firefight.
"Who are you?" Arithon asked quickly.
"Your lord and master, Mr. Cuddles, Destroyer of Worlds." The man laughed heartily to himself until he noticed the unamused glare across Arithon's face, "Er...I mean...I guess Ritosk could work as well."
(Sorry to join the party a bit late, just joined myself here. Seeing how the story has been stagnant for the past month I decided to just post something that might get it moving again =P) |

Kir is only vaguely aware of the actions around her as she remains focused on the Juggerdroid's rapid approach. The muscles in her legs tense as her feet swivel slightly. Kir smirks as her body prepares to leap, her blaster aimed carefully at the Juggerdroid's face. In rapid succession, she fires, shattering the eyescreen and scorching the rest of the droid's head. As it's momentum carries it forward, Kir leaps, performing a graceful summersault and landing gracefully several meters away, quickly continuing to fire at the leg joints of the droid.
Ikewe:
Ikewe stared in disbelief at the new addition to their group. "Confetti?" she thought quizzically before the sound of the falling Juggerdroid snapped her back to the moment. "Don't let that droid get back up," she shouted to no one in particular as she continued to fire down the hallway.
Spark: The little droid chirped and beeped as it tucked into the shadows at the end of a corridor. It's sensors picked up the sounds of the battle and it could feel the vibrations through the floor. The droid added this information to the stream of data it was sending into the desert.
Sienn: Sienn slung her rifle and adjusted the small bag at her hip. "Let's get a move on," she commanded as she lead the way toward the mountain. |
